Udyam registration is the official recognition that your business is a micro, small or medium enterprise — and it is the key that unlocks collateral-free loans, lower interest, government tender preference and protection against delayed payments.
one-startup is a private consultancy, not a government body. Udyam registration is free of cost on the official Udyam portal; our fee is purely for expert assistance, classification advice and filing support.

No spam. Only MSME registration and benefit-related support.
The essentials in under a minute — so you register under the right category and actually get the benefits.
Check my requirementUdyam is the government's online system for recognising micro, small and medium enterprises. You receive a permanent Udyam Registration Number and an e-certificate, generated from your PAN, Aadhaar and GST data. It replaced the older Udyog Aadhaar system entirely.
Micro — investment up to ₹2.5 crore and turnover up to ₹10 crore. Small — investment up to ₹25 crore and turnover up to ₹100 crore. Medium — investment up to ₹125 crore and turnover up to ₹500 crore. Proprietorships, partnerships, LLPs, companies, trusts and co-operatives all qualify.
Udyam registration is usually completed the same day. The application is verified against PAN and GST records automatically, and the certificate is generated online once Aadhaar OTP verification succeeds.
There is no government fee — Udyam registration is completely free on the official portal. Professional fees at one-startup start from ₹499 if you would rather have the classification and NIC codes handled by someone who does this daily.
No confusing packages — just clear professional fees for expert help. There is no government fee for Udyam registration:
Udyam registration is free of cost on the official government portal. Our fee is a professional service fee for classification advice, NIC code selection and filing support — nothing is payable to the government.
It gives you access to priority-sector lending, tender preference, subsidy schemes and a statutory remedy when large buyers delay your payments.
Done wrong — the wrong NIC code, a misclassified category or a mismatch with your GST data — and banks or tender portals reject the certificate exactly when you need it. That is why we check classification before filing.
Udyam needs very little paperwork — but the numbers on it must match your PAN and GST records exactly.
Aadhaar of the proprietor, managing partner or authorised signatory, linked to a working mobile number for OTP.
PAN of the business for companies, LLPs and firms; personal PAN for proprietorships.
Account number and IFSC of the business bank account.
Full address of the plant, office or place of business, including any additional units.
The activity codes matching what you actually manufacture or supply — selected by us.
Plant, machinery and equipment value and annual turnover, which decide your micro, small or medium category.
From your first message to your certificate — usually the same working day.
Tell us your business activity, investment and turnover. We confirm which MSME category you fall into.
We map your activities to the correct NIC codes, so the certificate reflects what you really do.
We collect Aadhaar, PAN, GST and bank details and check them against each other before filing.
We file your application on the Udyam portal and complete Aadhaar OTP verification with you.
Your PAN, GST and ITR data are validated automatically by the system.
Your permanent Udyam Registration Number and e-certificate are generated and shared with you.
The certificate is only useful if you actually use it. These are the four things most MSMEs should do next.
Investment and turnover figures update automatically from PAN and GST data each year.
Submit the certificate to your bank for priority-sector lending and credit guarantee schemes.
Register on GeM and tender portals using your Udyam number for MSME preference.
Use the MSME Samadhaan portal if a buyer delays payment beyond 45 days.
Simple rule: keep your details updated every year, because the classification is refreshed from your own filings.
Registration is the easy part. Our team also helps with:
Whatever your question, we'll give you a clear, plain-English answer.
A Udyam certificate with the wrong NIC code or wrong category is worse than none — it fails exactly when a bank or tender portal checks it. We get the classification right.
Your documents are checked by a professional before filing, to reduce avoidable rejection risk. Not a form-filling bot.
The quote is the final cost. No surprises after you pay.
One named person from first message to final certificate.
Wherever your business is, we file for it.
We also help with returns, filings, renewals, notices and ongoing compliance.
The MSME thresholds were raised substantially, which means many businesses that thought they had outgrown MSME status now qualify again.
Get it reviewedRevised thresholds mean micro enterprises now go up to ₹2.5 crore investment and ₹10 crore turnover, with small and medium raised proportionately.
Classification is pulled from your own ITR and GST filings, so any mismatch in those records shows up directly on your certificate.
Enterprises without GST registration can be brought into the formal MSME fold through the Udyam Assist platform.
Buyers who delay MSME payments beyond the statutory period face disallowance of the expense under income tax law — which has made large buyers far more careful.
